Extension of Last Date for Submission of Online Application Form for UGC-NET June 2026
New Delhi (May 20, 2026): In a major relief to thousands of aspirants, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially announced the extension of the last date for the submission of online application forms for the UGC-NET June 2026 examination.
The decision to extend the deadlines was taken following numerous representations received from candidates who faced difficulties in submitting their applications due to heavy server traffic and other technical issues in the final days of the original deadline.
⚠️ Urgent Update for Candidates
The registration window, which was initially scheduled to close, has been reopened. Candidates who have not yet applied or whose fee payments were pending can now complete their process via the official portal at ugcnet.nta.ac.in.
Revised Schedule for UGC NET June 2026
Candidates are advised to take note of the revised dates. No further extensions will be granted after this revised schedule.

Important Instructions for Candidates
- Correction Window: Candidates will be able to make corrections in the details submitted by them in their online application form online through the correction window. No offline requests for corrections will be entertained.
- Fee Payment: Ensure that the fee payment is completely processed. An application is only considered successfully submitted once the fee is confirmed by the bank.
- Avoid Last-Minute Rush: Aspirants are strongly advised not to wait for the final day (May 27) and to complete their applications immediately to avoid last-minute server bottlenecks.
How to Apply for UGC NET June 2026?
If you haven’t applied yet, follow these steps to register:
- Visit the official website of UGC NET at ugcnet.nta.ac.in.
- On the homepage, click on the link that reads “UGC NET June 2026 Registration / Login”.
- Click on “New Registration” and generate your application number and password by providing basic details.
- Log in using the generated credentials and fill out the complete application form.
- Upload scanned images of your photograph and signature in the prescribed format and size.
- Pay the requisite examination fee through the online payment gateway.
- Submit the form and download the confirmation page. Take a printout for future reference.

As per the latest NTA notification issued on May 20, the deadline to submit the online application form has been extended up to May 27, 2026 (11:59 PM).
The application correction window will now open from May 29, 2026, and remain active until May 31, 2026 (11:59 PM).
