IAF Agniveervayu Musician Recruitment 2026: Apply Online & Rally Details

The Indian Air Force (IAF) has released an exceptional recruitment notification for unmarried Indian male and female candidates who possess a passion for music. Candidates are invited to apply for the pre-registered recruitment rally to join the prestigious IAF band as Agniveervayu (Musician) under Intake 01/2027.

Unlike the general science or non-science Agniveervayu intakes that strictly require a 10+2 educational background, this highly specialized Musician Rally uniquely opens the doors for 10th pass (Matriculation) candidates. The primary focus of this recruitment drive is musical proficiency rather than extensive academic qualifications. The online registration is currently active on the official CASB portal. Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

The fundamental educational qualification required for the Musician Rally is merely passing Matriculation (10th standard). While 12th pass candidates can certainly apply, they must meet the stringent musical proficiency standards and hold the required music certification. Academic superiority does not waive the musical requirements.

Absolutely not. This is a Pre-Registered Recruitment Rally. Only candidates who have successfully registered online before the August 02, 2026 deadline and have been officially issued a Provisional Admit Card by the CASB will be permitted to enter the designated rally venues in New Delhi and Bengaluru.

Candidates are generally expected to exhibit proficiency in tuning and playing. While the IAF band possesses instruments, it is standard practice to confirm on the provisional admit card if candidates are allowed or expected to bring specific lightweight personal instruments (like flutes or trumpets). Always rely on the detailed instructions printed on your specific rally admit card.
