3. Eligibility Criteria
Educational & Computer Qualifications
To be eligible for the Stenographer position, candidates must meet the following mandatory academic and technical criteria:
- Basic Education: Must have passed the Senior Secondary Examination (10+2) from a recognized Board.
- Language Proficiency: Must have a good working knowledge of Hindi written in Devanagari script and knowledge of Rajasthani dialects.
- Computer Qualification (Any One):
- “O” or Higher Level Certificate course conducted by DOEACC.
- Certificate course on Computer Concept by NIELIT.
- COPA/DPCS certificate organized under National/State Council or Vocational Training.
- Diploma in Computer Science / Computer Application from a recognized university or institution.
- Diploma in Computer Science & Engineering from a recognized polytechnic institution.
- RSCIT (Rajasthan State Certificate Course in Information Technology).
- Passed Senior Secondary (12th) with Computer Science/Computer Application as one of the subjects.

The candidate must have attained the age of 18 years and must not have crossed 40 years as of 1st January 2027.

4. Pay Scale & Salary Details
The Rajasthan High Court offers a highly attractive and secure pay structure for the Stenographer Grade-II and Grade-III posts:
- Probation Period (2 Years): A fixed consolidated remuneration of ₹23,700/- per month will be paid during the mandatory training period.
- Post Probation (Regular Pay): Upon successful completion of the probation period, candidates will be placed in Pay Matrix Level L-10 with a basic salary ranging from ₹33,800 to ₹1,06,700/- per month, plus applicable allowances (DA, HRA, etc.).
5. Selection Process & Exam Pattern
The competitive examination consists of a Shorthand Speed Test, a Computer Test, and a Qualifying Interview. Candidates must qualify in all respective stages to be considered for the final merit list.
Shorthand Test (100 Marks)
- English Shorthand (Group A): Dictation of a passage in English at 80 Words Per Minute (WPM) for 6 minutes. Transcription and typing of the dictated passage on the computer in 50 minutes.
- Hindi Shorthand (Group B): Dictation of a passage in Hindi at 70 Words Per Minute (WPM) for 6 minutes. Transcription and typing of the dictated passage on the computer in 50 minutes.
