This year, the government has revised the application fees to make the process more accessible:
- Open / General Category: Rs. 300/-
- Reserved Categories (SC/ST/OBC/EWS): Rs. 150/-
Step-by-Step Guide: How to Apply on the GCAS Portal
Follow these instructions to complete your registration without errors:
- Visit the Official Portal: Go to the official GCAS website at gcas.gujgov.edu.in.
- Initial Registration: Click on “Apply Now” or “Registration” to create your login credentials using your mobile number and email ID.
- Fill Profile Details: Log in to your dashboard and fill out your personal information, contact details, and category (if applicable).
- Educational Details & Documents: Enter your 12th standard marks accurately. Upload clear scanned copies of your passport-size photograph, signature, mark sheets, and category certificates.
- Select Preferences: This is the most crucial step. Select your preferred University, College, Program (e.g., B.Com, B.Sc), and Major Subject in order of Priority.
- Pay the Fee: Submit the application fee online through the payment gateway.
- Final Submission: Review the entire form carefully and click on final submit. Do not forget to download or print the confirmation receipt.
What Happens After Registration?
After May 28th, universities and colleges will process the applications to create merit lists. Starting June 1st (midnight), log into your GCAS dashboard to check if you have received an admission offer. If you get your desired college, confirm the offer by providing your consent and paying the specific college tuition fees before the given deadline.
