Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

No. Apprenticeship training under the Apprentices Act is strictly for a fixed period (usually 1 year). Successful completion of this training does not guarantee any employment or permanent absorption in NCL.

Typically, selection for Apprentice positions in NCL is based purely on a merit list drawn from the marks scored in the qualifying examination (ITI / Diploma / Degree). There is usually no written exam or interview, but candidates should check the official notification for specific trade guidelines.

Generally, NCL gives preference to candidates from the project-affected areas of MP and UP or those registered with employment exchanges in these states. However, candidates from other states must read the domicile conditions clearly mentioned in the official notification before applying.
